What is the Advanced Art Movement?

The AAM has been set up by a group of people with a history of investment sales and a passion for art. The AAM has become the official investment distributor for ‘Pegasus’ – the worlds most exciting up and coming modern street artist based in North London.

Who is Pegasus?

Pegasus is the name and signature of an anonymous North London street artist. Originally from Chicago, his stencilled pieces play with popular culture's most recognizable icons, such as Marilyn Monroe, JFK and the British Royal Family, and are sometimes ironic or controversial.

The artist has stated his influences include "the genius Andy Warhol". He also admire other artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Keith Haring, Mr. Brainwash, Daren West the Neon Artist, Horace Panter, Eelus and of course Banksy. Pegasus is featured in two books published in 2013. They are titled Happy Graffiti and Planet Banksy.

He has been commissioned by such people as Lindsay Lohan, Kim Khardashian and Simon Cowell into producing original pieces of art for them. Notable art collector Johnny Depp attended his first show and purchased several pieces (see news section of website).

With all these achievements at such a young age its no wonder Pegasus has already been dubbed ‘The New Banksy”

For more information see THE ARTIST Page

What am I buying?

The Advanced Art Movement primary sell one off original pieces of art created by Pegasus. Sometimes the same image will have been painted on to a wall somewhere in the world, usually London. Pegasus then creates an original of this piece in his North London studio. Often the pieces then go on to have a limited run of prints made which are sold. All of he pieces sold by the AAM come framed to museum standard.

We will sometimes sell a limited run of prints by Pegasus.

Will I be charged VAT on my artwork?

All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT at the rate of 20%.

What happens to the art I purchase?

The purchaser of the pieces of art have two options when they purchase. The piece can be delivered to them (free delivery to the UK) at any address they choose. Alternatively the art can be securely stored at a facility the artist has in Essex, UK. The cost of the storage option is £250 + VAT per year and is payable in advance. The art can be taken out of storage and delivered elsewhere at any time at the cost of the owner.

I am overseas. What happens if I purchase some artwork?

We can provide a quote for the artwork to be delivered to any part of the world. This will include insurance. The Artists Management will take care of all export and shipping forms and they are registered with the HMRC as a legitimate VAT exporter. An example of the cost of exporting to the USA would be circa £400.

Will the art I purchase go up in value?

Like all investments there is no guarantee that the art will increase in value over any period of time. However the global art market is increasing at a steady rate (see our Art Investment Guide for more information). Factors that should cause Pegasus’ work to increase in value are that he is very early in his career, has a series of high profile art expert followers/owners and is often the subject of national press coverage. Pegasus has chose to be the Official Investment Distribution Partner of Pegasus as we believe he is the most exciting modern art talent in the World today and is likely to yield high returns for purchasers of his work. Pegasus’ manager, Leonard Villa, has previously worked with another, now highly established, street artist who's pieces of work sold for circa £2500 - £5000 around 4 years ago and now change hands anywhere in the region of £40,000 - £60,000.

What happens if I want to sell my artwork?

The purchaser owns the artwork as a tangible asset and they are free to sell it on the open market at any time they wish. After 36 months the artist’s company will endeavour to sell the pieces on to the secondary art market at an increased rate (subject to a commission charge) Also the AAM may be happy to offer the art to our investors at anytime (subject to a commission charge).

What if I want to hang my Artwork at Home?

Some purchasers will wish to display their artwork at home once purchased. The delivery is included in the purchase price to the UK. We can also arrange for our professional art fitters to quote to hang the artwork. The price will depend on the size of the piece and the location etc.

Can I arrange for Pegasus to Commission a Piece of Art for me?

Yes Pegasus will consider a commission job for any interested purchaser. This would be subject to a meeting with Pegasus and his manager and any agreement will be at their discretion.
